Just a quick note to thank you for suggesting this weather station.

I asked the team at Monax and they suggested the weathersleuth.

It was easy to setup, and connected straight to Wunderground which was exactly what I was after.

If you're new to this, or want to buy for a present, I would definitely recommend this product.

    Thanks again!

  4. Trouble free installation 5 Star Review

Researched stations for weeks before locating settling on this unit. My requirements it had to upload to underground weather and not require a computer to be on all the time or extra not included hardware.

Set up the unit without problems. The protective cover on solar panel instructed rechargeable batteries be installed. Currently working fine & Uploading data to weather underground. The blue communications unit is much smaller then it looks like in the image (a good thing).

Quite happy with the unit. Can now check weather from anywhere and historical data is recoded by underground weather. Fingers crossed it survives UV damage from the Aussie sun.

I took my time when selecting a unit that suited my needs.
I had thought of purchasing the same unit from the manufacturer in the U.S.
I decided against this, only because of the power supply and returning if faulty(and I know I could have got a power supply here that would have worked,,,but,,,).
anyway, to the unit, packed extremely well, easy to assemble, mounting to an existing pole no issues either.
the unit was then connected to my router and I started the setup via my laptop.
I found the units ip address without issue, updated the necessary details, saved them and we were away.
created my weather underground account, set the name and required details and we have weather readouts
the unit has been cruising along well now for the last 5 days.
this unit doesn't have it's own display unit, but that is fine, I use weather underground on my pc, laptop, ipad, and iphone.
I live in SA an have just had the worst thunderstorm in ages, the unit coped with the rain with no issues.
I couldn't recommend this unit highly enough, If you like your weather data and are looking for a compact unit with battery recharge, that covers all needed data, this is it.
just remember though, you need an internet account like weather underground to view the actual weather conditions.
    Love IT!!!!
